2019Website Redesign
CRN Audio
Taking CRN Radio's website up a level by showcasing their full suite of audio-based marketing and production services.

Project Overview

CRN (Connecticut Radio Network) International was looking to rebrand its radio marketing business into a full-fledge suite of audio marketing services that expanded beyond radio to include podcasts, streaming services, voice assistants, and other forms of media. This rebranding, named CRN Audio, needed a new website to show off the rebranding, fresh perspectives, and all-encompassing approach to audio CRN was taking.

The Work

The new website needed to be bright, featuring CRN’s signature orange as much as possible, fun to navigate, and showcase the wide breath of marketing services offered. The in-house podcast producing division, Collisions Media, also needed its own home within the website, but in a way that didn’t feel disjointed from the rest.

The latter was achieved by giving Collisions Media it’s own large, orange button in the main navigation that when clicked brought the user to a Collisions portal page that still blended perfectly in with the rest of the CRN Audio website. Barely featured on the CRN Radio website, the Collisions podcast division showed off CRN’s in-house podcasts in a whimsical tiled marquee that paused on hover. Clever drop-downs expanded to display more details about CRN’s production capabilities for B2B clients.

The rest of CRN Audio was packed with themed sections and tons of information about clients, testimonials, and marketing potential, but with the goal of never feeling too dense, which isn’t always easy on on corporate websites with a lot to offer. Page load times were improved substantially and the website was finally mobile friendly.

The Results

CRN Audio’s new website wasn’t just an evolution of CRN’s online presence, but an abundant leap forward in every way possible — design, functionality, and content. The team was unanimously pleased, which led to a promotion and additional design work.
